So, first floor is done and second floor has its steel up.

In this application the upstairs was to be a training room and was adjacent to the mill machines, so sound was a factor.

We used National Partitions steel sheet on 5/8" gypsum on both sides over a foam core.  Makes for a heavy to handle panel, but good sound control and good fire resistance with the steel on gypsum factor.

National Installers did the install for us.  These guys were Aces!  Hard working, and kudos from Mills Pride when it was done, and from me, Ed Clegg, distributor.  I was on site every day except one.  Glad to hire these Ohio based guys anytime!

And we used a panelized roof.  Usually the roof is corrugated steel sheet and nothing else, with acoustic ceiling inside.

For sound control we used National Partition's steel sheet both sides on polystyrene core as solid panels.

Here in picture the blue colored panels are laid across the beam span with a piece called an "H" mull, basically its a light weight "I" beam that the panel nests into very neatly.  The blue is a plastic protective sheet that we would strip off if panels were to be visible.  Poor Bob Landany got stuck in the ceiling where there was a lot of saw dust.

The acoustic ceiling is added, and one last sound deadener of fiberglass bats were added in the cavity.

The A/C opening in the far wall can be located high or low as can the electric outlet for it, you specify this.

Completed, while a little plain looking, as Mills Pride didn't want windows, and the doorways are out of view.  The windows they felt would let in too much mill noise.

Electric and flooring will be added by customer.
